A mentor taught me that “life is never made unbearable by circumstances, but only by lack of meaning and purpose.” This belief, coupled with a genuine and empathetic counseling relationship, can help facilitate re-connection and self-discovery while repairing the self from past wounds. Often, we can intentionally change when we understand past themes and patterns. I am here to help you explore your experiences and navigate through life, despite its circumstances.

One of the bravest things you can do is begin to understand your own story.  Mindfulness and curiosity can help bring awareness to feelings of angst and sadness that reside within us.  Within each unique story, there is meaning and purpose.  As an existential and humanistic therapist, I often use narrative therapy which aims to help you see your challenges as separate from who you are as a human being.

Just like the foundation of a house, we need safe, stable and nurturing relationships in order to build the foundation for healthy connections. New patterns of resilience and resourcefulness can develop out of a genuine, safe and empathic bond, allowing you to access your past and grow into your authentic self while feeling strong, aware, connected and in control. By creating a sacred, safe and empathetic environment, where I am there with you, together we will bring the unconscious to the conscious. My hope is that in doing so, you will feel a new sense of freedom and empowerment.
